Sophia A. Pogogeff, CPA is a partner and co-founder of Pogogeff & Company, CPA's. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice both in the State of New Jersey and the State of New York having more than 13 years experience in public accounting. A native of New Jersey Sophia holds a Masters in Business Administration and Masters of Science in Accounting from Saint Peters University in Jersey City, NJ.

Sophia strives for excellence and provides clients with high quality professional service using her experience in a range of areas from financial accounting, audit & compliance, corporate and individual taxation, forensic accounting, and compliance, to marketing and management. Using knowledge from various industries, allows her to support clients with their accounting and tax matters, and provide them with the confidence and freedom to further develop and grow their businesses.

Sophia is a Fordham University graduate and holds a Bachelors in Science in Accounting. She also holds an Masters in Business Administration and  Masters in Accounting. Sophia is also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor and provides advice, support, and training in QuickBooks software.

Sophia is committed to providing clients with high quality professional services using her experience in a range of areas from corporate and individual taxation, audit, forensic accounting, and compliance, to marketing and management. Using knowledge from various industries, allows her to support clients with their accounting and tax matters, and provide them with the confidence and freedom to further develop and grow their businesses.

Sophia started her career at Ernst & Young, LLP in the Audit & Assurance Department. She performed audits including planning and risk assessment of pharmaceutical, retail, and manufacturing companies, healthcare unions, law firms, pension plans, and non-profit organizations. She also assisted clients with the preparation of financial statements and 10K and 10Q filings, and gained experience in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 Regulations. Sophia later served as Corporate Compliance Manager dealing with Sarbanes Oxley compliance at Kenneth Cole Productions.

Sophia joined the firm in 2005 and has been performing a wide range of services including but not limited to business and individual income tax return preparation, financial statement compilation, audits, and tax representation.
